Useful Resources from other Support and Disability Organisations
The Housing Hub is a useful way to access information resources for our community of housing seekers, providers and supporters. Our team creates new resources as well as sharing resources created by other like organisations.
By sharing resources from other organisations, we aim to provide a well-rounded library of information to build confidence in our community.
You can check out these useful resources created by other organisations below.
WAiS is an organisation committed to supporting people to live the lives they want. WAiS offers information and support to people and organisations who are committed to progressing individualised, self-directed supports and services. The Housing Hub has identified a number of useful resources that can be accessed below.
"Creating Home" is the term used to describe a range of ways that people can have 'live in' companionship and support in their home. There is no 'one size fits all' as each person is unique, and so are the people they want to be supported by.
WAiS has created a guide on "Creating Home" for flat mates, home sharers, and co-residents. Check out the guide below:
WAiS has created a number of useful resources pertaining to the NDIS, check them out below:
Supported Decision Making is the process of assisting a person to make their own decisions. This support is offered so they can develop and pursue their own goals, make choices about their life and exercise control over their lives. WAiS has created a number of resources that help explain and improve the understanding of Supported Decision Making. You can check them out below:
