Sharing your experience with the Housing Hub's audiences
The Housing Hub website includes articles and video stories created by people with disability about finding a home that is right for them.
These stories help other people think about their next home and find out things they need to know about housing for people with disability.
Do you have a story to share?
You may have experience that will help other Housing Hub users. In particular, if any of these things describe you, we would like to talk with you about sharing your story:
You are looking for, or living in, Robust Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
You are looking for, or living in, Improved Liveability SDA
You live with housemates using Individualised Living Options (ILO) funding from the NDIS, or are a person with disability who lives in a different shared arrangement that you are happy with
You are a person with disability who is in the process of moving home, or you have just moved home
You are looking for an accessible home in a regional or remote location
You are a person with disability and your family doesn’t speak English at home
You are a person with disability with a cultural identity that affects your housing choices and/or the way you are supported
You are the parent or family member of someone who may be eligible for SDA – particularly if your family member’s disability makes it hard to express their own needs and experience
You aren’t eligible for SDA, but still need or want accessible property features and/or person-to-person support in your home
Telling your story
We can support you to tell your story in different ways. You may be able to:
Write an article (300 to 400 words), or an extended article (800 to 1200 words) about your experience
Talk with a member of the Housing Hub team, who can write an article about your experience
Record a video story
All content contributors will be paid for their time – details of which will be confirmed when we contact you
