SDA Supply in Australia - Premium Addendum

The Housing Hub and Summer Foundation undertook a survey of SDA providers and developers across Australia that was designed to provide a snapshot of SDA dwellings in the pipeline at a national level. The survey link was sent to SDA providers and developers in September 2023 and remained open for 2 weeks. Extending upon the SDA supply survey (released November 2023) which provided a snapshot of SDA dwellings in the pipeline across Australia at the SA4 level, this addendum provides a more granular level of detail by presenting this data at the SA3 level. Combined with the latest data released by the NDIA (as of 30th September 2023), this addendum provides a comprehensive summary of SDA supply in Australia.

In addition, this addendum compares projected SDA demand data at the SA4 level to SDA supply, as well as the rate of conversion from pipeline developments to enrolled or discontinued developments. Please refer to the previous report, titled “Specialist Disability Accommodation Supply in Australia” for a detailed description of survey participation and method. The report will be provided as an excel file so that you can filter the information to focus on the areas you wish to view.
