Housing Hub: Event Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all events, including, but not limited to, webinars, masterclasses, forums, panel discussions, and networking events delivered or hosted by Housing Hub.  

By registering for an event, you agree to the following.


Registration

1.1 Registration confirmation

To attend an event, you must register in advance via Housing’s Hub nominated booking platform.  Registration is confirmed upon completing and submitting the registration form and, where applicable, full payment has been received.

1.2 Accuracy of information

You are responsible for ensuring all registration details including contact information and accessibility requirements are accurate at the time of registration.

1.3 Eligibility to attend

Some events may be designed for specific audiences.  Housing Hub reserves the right to decline or cancel registrations that do not meet eligibility requirements.


2. Correspondence

All event related correspondence will be sent to the email address provided at registration.  This includes event confirmation, joining instructions, event reminders, and event updates.  

2.1 Currency of information

You are responsible for maintaining your contact details. Check your email Spam or Junk folder for any missed emails. 


3. Delivery

3.1 Delivery formats

Housing Hub delivers events in various delivery formats.

  • In-person: The event takes place in a physical venue, and attendees must attend the venue in-person to participate.
  • Online: The event takes place via an online platform and participation is undertaken by joining the event online either through a link provided by the online platform or by Housing Hub.
  • Hybrid: The event combines a live, in-person gathering at a physical venue with an online component that allows remote attendees to participate.  Attendees, whether in-person or online, can engage with the content and each other simultaneously. 
  • Blended: The event comprises multiple sessions with individual sessions delivered in either in-person OR online.  Each session is a single delivery format only. 

3.2 Online and blended deliveries

For events delivered online or in blended formats, you are responsible for ensuring access to the required technology, software and internet connectivity.  Housing Hub is not responsible for individual technical issues.

3.3 Recording and access

Recording availability is not guaranteed unless explicitly stated.  Where events are recorded, access to recordings is limited to registered participants only and may be time limited.  


4. Fees & Payments (where applicable)

4.1 Fees

Event fees are stated in Australian dollars (AUD) and are exclusive of GST, unless otherwise specified.

4.2 Payment

Payment is required at the time of registration. Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received. Receipts are issued electronically. 

4.3 Transaction Fees

Any third-party booking or transaction fees are payable by the attendee and are non-refundable.


5. Cancellations, Transfers and Refunds

5.1 General conditions 

Notice periods exclude the event day. You must submit all cancellation, refund or substitution requests in writing using the contact details provided in the event confirmation email.

5.2 Refunds

A full refund will be issued for cancellations received at least seven (7) working days prior to the event start date.  Cancellations received within seven (7) days of the event are not eligible for a refund.

5.3 Substitutions

For cancellations received prior to the event start date, your registration can be transferred to another eligible participant within your organisation subject to written approval by Housing Hub.  You cannot transfer your registration to an alternative event. 

5.4 Non attendance

Failure to attend an event does not entitle the attendee to a refund.


6. Changes by Housing Hub

6.1 Event changes

Housing Hub reserves the right to make changes to event content, facilitators, contributors, delivery timing and format. 

6.2 Postponement and cancellations

For cancelled or postponed events, you may choose to:

a. Transfer to the rescheduled event or 

b. Where applicable, receive a refund of the registration fee paid, excluding any third-party booking or transaction fees incurred.

6.3 Associated costs

Housing Hub is not liable for any additional costs incurred, including travel or accommodation. 


7. Code of conduct

7.1 Respectful participation

You are expected to engage respectfully and professionally with facilitators, contributors and other attendees.

7.2 Right to remove attendees

Housing Hub reserves the right to remove attendees where behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, inappropriate or disrespectful without financial compensation.  


8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Event materials

All event content and materials are the intellectual property of Housing Hub or the relevant contributors.

8.2 Permitted use

Materials may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes only, and must not be reproduced, create derivative works from, shared or distributed without prior permission.


9. Disclaimer

9.1 General information only Events are provided for general information and professional development purposes only.

9.2 No advice Information provided in events delivered or hosted by Housing Hub does not constitute legal, financial, regulatory, compliance, or professional advice. You should seek alternative independent advice relevant to your specific circumstances before acting on any information provided.

9.3 No guarantees Housing Hub makes no guarantees regarding outcomes, funding approvals, compliance outcomes, business performance, or organisational results arising from participation in events delivered or hosted by Housing Hub.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Exclusion of indirect loss To the extent permitted by law, Housing Hub is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from participation in events delivered or hosted by Housing Hub.

10.2 Liability cap To the extent permitted by law, Housing Hub’s total liability to you is limited to the fees paid by you for the relevant event delivered or hosted by Housing Hub.

10.3 Australian Consumer Law Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).


11. Force Majeure

Housing Hub is not liable for failure or delay in delivering an event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government restrictions.


12. Privacy

Personal information collected during registration will be handled in accordance with Housing Hub’s Privacy Policy.


13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.


14. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Housing Hub in relation to events delivered or hosted by Housing Hub and supersede any prior representations or agreements relating to the subject matter.
