The term SDA describes a type of housing for a small percentage of people with disability who have very high support needs and/or extreme functional impairment. The term 'SDA' is also often used as short-hand for 'SDA funding' or 'SDA payments' – the type of funding provided by the NDIS to participants who have been determined to be eligible to live in SDA.
