Understand our Work
What is the Housing Hub?
The Housing Hub is a way for people with disability to find suitable housing. Advertising properties from a range of housing providers, the Housing Hub also hosts a library of useful information about housing options and planning your move.
The Housing Hub covers all of Australia. Properties listed by housing providers may include existing Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), new SDA builds, non-SDA supported accommodation, private rental and properties for sale. Many new properties are listed on the Housing Hub every week.
If you are looking for a home that is right for you, a family member or someone you are supporting, you can search through the listings or let the Housing Hub do the work for you by creating a housing seeker profile.
Housing providers (including developers of SDA) can advertise their properties for free by signing up to the Housing Hub.
Our Principles
We established principles to guide our work, behaviour and decisions when we created the Housing Hub Team. Our principles are:
- People with disability are at the centre of everything we do.
- We seek social change by leading in our sector to build sustainable and innovative products that facilitate people with disability choosing where, how, and who to live with.
- We build the confidence of the housing sector through collaboration, capacity building and tenancy solutions.
- Our work is aligned to our evidence base and approach.
- Our team has courage, fails fast and approaches problems with curiosity to achieve our vision.
